Scope

This policy describes privacy considerations when using Certicab at certicab.com. Different learning resources can have different data flows. Read the explanation on the specific page before entering information or selecting a file.

Browser processing and external requests

Practice questions and flashcards run in your browser after their page and question data load. Pages may request hosted assets and advertising services. This does not mean the entire site works offline. Opening an external search or result link sends a request to the destination website.

Hosting and technical information

Requests to load the site, hosted assets, third-party libraries, or external services can disclose technical information such as an IP address, browser information, request time, and requested URL to the relevant service provider. Those providers may process logs for delivery, security, and operations under their own policies. We do not set out a fixed retention period for data controlled by those providers.

Google advertising and cookies

The site includes Google AdSense code. Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Advertising requests may involve IP addresses, device information, and other identifiers.

You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and review how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Where a consent message is displayed, use its choices to manage your consent. Browser cookie settings provide additional controls, but blocking cookies may affect services.

Local storage and saved results

Practice sessions and flashcard interactions run within the current browser page. Certicab does not provide an account or cloud synchronization for study progress. Navigating away or reloading can reset the current session. Browser settings can remove site data. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them, and copied information may remain on your device’s clipboard. On a shared device, clear sensitive outputs and follow the device owner’s security rules.

External websites and public reports

External services, including GitHub and sites opened through tool links, operate under their own policies. Certicab does not currently publish a support mailbox or provide a message form. Do not post confidential files, passwords, account details, or sensitive personal information in public channels.

Children and sensitive information

This site is not designed to collect information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise online activity. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information into general-purpose tools, and do not use them in a way that conflicts with your organization’s data-handling requirements.

Questions and changes

Check the Contact page for contact availability. Contact details are currently being updated. Questions about information held by an external provider should also be directed to that provider. This policy may be revised as the site’s functionality changes.
