Study guide · Practice exams
Build a timed practice exam from 200 original SCS-C03 questions. Choose the length, difficulty, and domains, then review explanations and a score report that shows where to study next.
Before you start: These are original practice questions, not AWS exam items. The scaled score is an unofficial linear estimate on the 100–1,000 range. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing is saved, so print or save your score report before you close the page. For background on each topic, see the core notes and flashcards.
Set up an exam, answer every question, then submit to see your score report.

Each exam is drawn at random from the questions that match your settings. Questions are spread across the domains you select in proportion to the pool, so a 20-question exam mirrors the weight of each domain instead of clustering in one area. Every attempt draws a new set, and answer choices are shuffled unless you turn that option off.
The pool includes multiple choice, multiple response, ordering, and matching, which are the response types in the SCS-C03 exam guide. The real exam does not include a console simulation, and this page does not either. On the real exam, an ordering or matching question scores only when the whole task is correct. This page gives partial credit so the report can show which step or pair you missed.
The 200 questions follow the SCS-C03 domain weights, so practice time goes where the scored content is.
| Domain | Exam weight | Questions | Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0 Detection | 16% | 32 | 8 / 15 / 9 |
| 2.0 Incident Response | 14% | 28 | 7 / 13 / 8 |
| 3.0 Infrastructure Security | 18% | 36 | 10 / 17 / 9 |
| 4.0 Identity and Access Management | 20% | 40 | 11 / 19 / 10 |
| 5.0 Data Protection | 18% | 36 | 9 / 17 / 10 |
| 6.0 Security Foundations and Governance | 14% | 28 | 7 / 13 / 8 |
Difficulty levels: Beginner questions check a single fact, such as which service owns a finding. Intermediate questions apply a concept to a short scenario. Advanced questions combine several facts, ask for the FIRST or BEST action, or are ordering and matching tasks.
In the score report, domains below 75% are marked as focus areas and ordered by impact: a low score in a heavily weighted domain comes first. Aim for 85% or higher across every domain before you book the real exam.
No. Every question is original. Domain weights follow the AWS Certified Security – Specialty Exam Guide (SCS-C03). Certicab does not use or distribute leaked exam content.
No. AWS reports a scaled score from 100 to 1,000 with a passing score of 750, and it does not publish how raw scores convert. The estimate is a linear guide for your own attempts, not a prediction.
Aim for consistent scores of 85% or higher on mixed-difficulty, timed exams that cover every domain, then review every explanation, including for questions you answered correctly.
No. The exam runs entirely in your browser. Answers and results are not stored or sent, so they disappear when you close or reload the page. Print or save the score report if you want to keep it.
